The Taoglas Olympian III MA181.A.001 puts three antennas under one low-profile radome: an active GNSS antenna and two 5G/4G MIMO cellular antennas. It is built for external use on vehicles and outdoor assets that need location and cellular MIMO connectivity through a single hole. The unit stands 70 mm tall and 59.45 mm in diameter. It mounts from the inside of the host enclosure, and its small thread suits installations where space is tight. The two cellular elements cover 600-6000 MHz. That range spans worldwide LTE bands, many sub-6 GHz 5G FR1 bands (including n71, n77, n78 and n79 frequency ranges) and 3G/2G fallback. Taoglas designed the antenna to suppress cable radiation, so performance holds whether it is mounted on a metal box or a plastic structure. Taoglas recommends a minimum 1 m cable length for stable performance. Each cellular element is omnidirectional and linearly polarized, handles up to 10 W input, and reaches up to 6.01 dBi peak gain. The GNSS element is right-hand circularly polarized and covers GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS, IRNSS, SBAS and L-Band frequencies. Its integrated LNA provides up to 31.3 dB gain with a noise figure below 3.1 dB. Out-of-band rejection is 70 dB below 1 GHz and 60 dB above 1.7 GHz. The element runs from 1.8-5.5 V at 9 ± 3 mA. The UV-rated ASA enclosure resists vandalism and carries IP67 and IK08 ratings. An integrated rubber O-ring keeps water from getting under the antenna. It operates from -40°C to 85°C and is RoHS and REACH compliant. The GNSS lead is 1 m RG-174, and the cellular leads are 1 m TGC-1.5DS, all terminated in SMA(M).
