Synology RX1222SAS 12-Bay Rack Expansion

When storage demand rises, adding capacity should not mean reworking the entire infrastructure stack. The Synology RX1222SAS provides 12 additional bays in a rack expansion format, giving teams a direct path to scale storage while preserving the operational model already in place. Because it ships diskless, you can populate it with drives that match your performance, endurance, and retention requirements. This enclosure is well suited to environments where rack space, storage planning, and lifecycle control all matter. It helps extend the useful life of an existing Synology deployment by adding capacity where it is needed most, rather than forcing a migration to a larger primary system. That makes it a practical fit for backup repositories, file services, and data sets that continue to grow after the initial deployment is already in production. For organizations that value predictable expansion, RX1222SAS offers a focused answer: more bays, less disruption, and a cleaner path to keep pace with data growth.
