StarTech KSLTAD Security Slot Adapter Kit, TAA

Protect devices that lack a built-in lock slot without replacing the hardware. The StarTech Security Slot Adapter Kit adds a Kensington-style K-Slot to laptops, ultrabooks, tablets, Chromebooks, monitors, and displays, giving IT teams a practical way to standardize physical security across mixed fleets. The slim adapter mounts with strong adhesive and includes an alcohol wipe plus surface preparation pad to support proper installation. Once applied, the plate is designed to withstand up to 296 lb of force, helping deter opportunistic theft in shared offices, classrooms, kiosks, and open workspaces. The T-Bar compatible design supports standard cable locks, so you can extend existing lock inventory instead of buying a separate security system. Its compact 1.29 in diameter and 0.26 in thickness keep the adapter unobtrusive on the device surface. TAA compliance makes it suitable for government and regulated procurement environments where sourcing requirements matter. For organizations that need a simple, durable way to secure premium endpoints, this adapter delivers a clean fit and a clear control point.
