Extend an HDMI source to a distant display across a 40 m cable path while retaining HDMI 2.1 bandwidth for 8K 60 Hz video. The hybrid active optical construction supports up to 48 Gbps, including 4K 120 Hz and 1440p 240 Hz video modes. Dynamic HDR10 with 12-bit processing, HDR10+, Display Stream Compression 1.2a and HDCP 2.3 support help maintain compatibility with current high-resolution AV signal paths. CMP plenum rating makes this cable suitable for routing through ceiling and in-wall plenum spaces where the installation calls for plenum-rated cabling. Its 4.6 mm outside diameter assists with routing through constrained pathways, while aramid reinforcement adds tensile strength for long pulls. Gold-plated HDMI connectors are rated for more than 10,000 insertions, supporting frequently connected equipment and serviceable display endpoints. StarTech 8K-A-40M-HDMI-CABLE operates in one direction, so the marked source and display ends must be connected to their respective devices. It carries high-quality 7.1-channel surround audio with eARC and remains compatible with HDMI 2.0, HDMI 1.4 and HDMI 1.2 equipment. The 40 m reach, plenum-rated jacket and active optical signal transport distinguish it for long installed AV links that exceed practical passive HDMI cable distances.
