StarTech ST121HDBTL 4K HDBaseT Extender, IR & RS232

Move HDMI sources farther from the display without sacrificing the control paths that matter in real installations. The StarTech ST121HDBTL is an HDBaseT extender designed to carry HDMI over CAT5e or CAT6 cabling while also supporting IR and RS232 control, giving integrators a cleaner way to place source equipment in racks, closets, or equipment rooms. Its 4K support makes it appropriate for modern presentation spaces and signage deployments where image detail still matters at distance. By using structured cabling instead of long direct HDMI runs, the extender helps simplify routing and can make system design more practical in larger rooms or multi-zone environments. This model is a strong fit when reliability and control are more important than a basic cable extension. IR support helps preserve remote operation, while RS232 provides a familiar control path for managed AV systems. For IT and AV teams building rooms that need consistent signal delivery, the ST121HDBTL offers a cleaner architecture than point-to-point cabling alone.
