StarTech 4-Port M.2 to SATA Adapter, 4x SATA 6Gbps

Turn one compatible M.2 slot into four SATA drive connections and extend storage capacity without redesigning the platform. This StarTech adapter is built for systems that need more local storage, more drive flexibility, or a cleaner path to adding SATA SSDs and HDDs in compact desktops and external enclosures. Each attached drive can operate at SATA 6 Gbps, giving you the bandwidth expected from modern SATA storage while preserving the simplicity of a single-slot expansion path. Driver auto-install support in Windows 8 and later, macOS, and Linux reduces deployment friction, while support for Storage Spaces, TRIM, and SMART helps keep the storage stack manageable over time. The adapter works in PCIe-based B-key and M-key M.2 slots and supports SATA I/II/III as well as PCIe 3.0. It is not compatible with SATA M.2 slots, so it is intended for systems with the right PCIe-based host interface. Four SATA cables are included, making it easier to move from installation to configuration without sourcing extra accessories. For IT teams and builders who need to add capacity with minimal chassis changes, this adapter offers a practical way to scale storage from an existing M.2 footprint.
