Key Features

850 VA UPS capacity for local connected loads
2 integrated USB charging ports
Battery-backed power for short outages
APC Back-UPS platform for desktop and small-office equipment
Provide 850 VA of UPS capacity for connected desktop and small-office equipment.

Maintain power to essential desktop and small-office electronics during short utility interruptions with the Schneider Electric APC Back-UPS BE850G2. Its 850 VA capacity supports a defined set of connected equipment while the internal UPS battery provides temporary operating time for orderly work continuation or shutdown. Two integrated USB charging ports provide a separate charging connection for compatible USB-powered devices. Install this UPS at a workstation, network closet edge, reception desk, or home-office technology area where brief power loss can interrupt connected electronics. It fits deployments that need battery-backed power rather than basic surge suppression alone, including a desktop computer with associated peripherals or small network devices that require time to remain available during an outage. Capacity planning should account for the combined load connected to the UPS and the runtime required for the application. Within the APC Back-UPS range, this model is defined by its 850 VA rating and two USB charging ports. That combination makes it appropriate where a compact local UPS must also support day-to-day USB device charging. BE850G2 is the ordering code to use when those characteristics match the required power-protection location.

Ideal For

Desktop workstation and peripheral protection where an orderly response to a short power interruption is required.
Small-office network edge equipment requiring temporary battery-backed operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I confirm BE850G2 is the right part for my deployment?▾

Match BE850G2 to the required 850 VA UPS capacity and the need for two USB charging ports. Calculate the combined load of the equipment to be connected and determine how much temporary operating time the application requires during an outage.

What equipment can an 850 VA Back-UPS support?▾

An 850 VA Back-UPS supports a local group of connected electronics within its capacity rating. Typical planning starts with a workstation, peripherals, or small network equipment, then totals their power demand before selecting the UPS and required battery runtime.

What are the USB ports used for on the APC Back-UPS?▾

The two USB charging ports provide charging connections for compatible USB-powered devices. They allow devices to be charged from the UPS without occupying a separate power adapter connection intended for other connected equipment.

Why use a UPS instead of surge protection alone?▾

Surge protection addresses power disturbances, while a UPS also supplies temporary battery-backed power when utility power fails. That interval can keep connected equipment operating briefly and allow users or systems to complete an orderly shutdown.
