RIBBON EDGE 8500 One-PRI T1/E1 Daughter Board Software Upgrade

Add a single T1/E1 Primary Rate Interface connection to an installed RIBBON EDGE 8500 daughter board. The upgrade expands PRI capacity in one-PRI increments for voice deployments that require additional carrier trunk connectivity. It applies to an existing daughter board rather than supplying daughter board hardware. EDGE-8500-UPG-1PRI-DB supports systems that already have the applicable EDGE 8500 daughter board in place and need to increase its enabled PRI count. A PRI provides 23 B channels on T1 services or 30 B channels on E1 services, making this capacity increment relevant where voice traffic, trunk counts, or regional carrier interfaces require further scale. This specific upgrade adds one PRI and supports a maximum of eight PRI connections on the existing daughter board. That makes it appropriate for staged capacity growth when the installed platform needs another T1/E1 PRI but does not require a separate hardware module. Verify the installed EDGE 8500 configuration has the compatible daughter board and sufficient remaining PRI capacity before applying the upgrade.
