Red Hat GPS-C Consulting Service

Puts Red Hat consultant expertise at the center of a professional-services engagement. GPS-C denotes a consulting service for organizations that need direct consultant participation around a Red Hat technology objective. It is categorized as a commercial service, making it distinct from a software subscription, support entitlement, appliance, or accessory. The service is people-based: its value is consultant work rather than a shipped technology product. Use this service designation where technical stakeholders require focused engagement from a Red Hat consultant. It can sit alongside an existing Red Hat environment when the requirement is for consulting activity rather than additional software capacity or replacement equipment. The service classification helps separate consultant involvement from maintenance and support coverage, which address different operational needs. GPS-C is appropriate when the required outcome depends on professional consultation and technical discussion with Red Hat personnel. It should be treated as a service engagement, not as a physical component with installation dimensions, ports, power requirements, or included hardware. Teams evaluating the service should align the intended technical objective with the consultant engagement before work begins, ensuring the service is selected for expertise and consultation rather than for product licensing or support coverage.
