MAX-HD2-MBX-5GN-T equips the MAX HD2 MBX 5G with 2x embedded global 5G modems supporting Sub-6 GHz NSA and SA operation. Its stated maximum theoretical cellular data rate is 3.4 Gbps downlink and 900 Mbps uplink. Redundant SIM slots, Mini-SIM, Peplink eSIM, BYO eSIM, FusionSIM, and remote SIM from a SIM Injector provide multiple SIM options for cellular deployments. Three 10/100/1000M Ethernet WAN interfaces, two USB interfaces, and nine 10/100/1000M Ethernet LAN interfaces connect cellular, wired WAN, and local devices. WAN 3 is configured as a LAN port by default and can be changed in Web Admin. The simultaneous dual-band Wi-Fi 5 interface supports 2x2 MIMO, Wi-Fi WAN and/or access-point operation, and data rates of 300 Mbps at 2.4 GHz and 866 Mbps at 5 GHz. SpeedFusion Hot Failover, Smoothing, and Bandwidth Bonding support continuity across available WAN connections. Router throughput is rated at 2.5 Gbps, while stated SpeedFusion throughput is 600 Mbps without encryption and 500 Mbps with 256-bit AES. For vehicle, rail, and industrial installations, the unit provides ignition sensing, a 12 V–56 V DC power input, operation from -40° to 65°C, and FCC, CE, RoHS, E-Mark, EN61373, EN50155, and EN61000 certifications. Up to eight 802.3at PoE outputs are available when two 54 V DC inputs are connected.
