OWC ThunderBay 4 w SoftRAID OWCTB3SRKIT0GB, 4-Bay RAID

Build external storage around the workload, not the other way around. OWC ThunderBay 4 with SoftRAID gives you four SATA bays that accept 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch HDDs or SSDs, making it easy to tune capacity, performance, and cost per terabyte for the job at hand. With software RAID compatibility, the enclosure can be configured for performance, redundancy, or a balance of both. This is the kind of platform IT teams choose when they need more control than a single-drive enclosure can offer. It supports RAID 0, 1, 4, 5, 1+0 (10), and JBOD, so the array can be matched to backup, archive, scratch, or shared workstation use. The included SoftRAID software adds the management layer needed to keep the array aligned with operational requirements. For buyers comparing storage enclosures, ThunderBay 4 stands out by giving you a flexible four-bay chassis instead of a fixed-capacity box. That matters when uptime, expansion planning, and drive choice all affect the total cost of ownership.
