Keep high-resolution production moving with storage built for sustained throughput and serious capacity. The OWC ThunderBlade X8 delivers 32 TB of NVMe RAID storage in a Thunderbolt 3 enclosure designed for teams that cannot afford bottlenecks during ingest, editing, or delivery. With up to 2,936 MB/s performance and SoftRAID Premium included, this drive is built for workflows where speed and control matter. RAID 0, 1, 4, 5, 1+0 (10), and JBOD support gives infrastructure teams and creative operators flexibility to match performance, redundancy, or capacity requirements to the job at hand. This is the kind of external storage that earns its place on a premium desk: fast enough for multi-camera production, large enough for active project libraries, and structured for professional RAID management. For studios, agencies, and field teams moving large files every day, it reduces friction at the storage layer so the work can stay on schedule.

Ideal For

Edit multi-stream 4K and 8K video projects from a desktop workstation
Stage large media libraries for post-production teams and color workflows
Move high-bitrate footage between set, studio, and finishing environments
Build a fast external RAID volume for creative teams needing controlled redundancy

Why This Product

1Faster than standard USB external drives for sustained media transfers
2More RAID flexibility than single-drive portable SSDs
3Higher capacity than typical field-editing storage options
4Designed for professional workflows, not casual backup use
