Monoprice BLACKBIRD 8K60 2x1 HDMI 2.1 Switch with Audio Extraction

Keep high-bandwidth AV systems moving with a compact 2x1 switch designed for modern HDMI 2.1 deployments. The BLACKBIRD 8K60 switch lets you route two sources to a single display path while maintaining support for 8K60 content and HDCP 2.3 protected material. Audio extraction adds flexibility for systems that need to separate sound from the video chain, reducing the need for extra conversion hardware. For conference rooms, digital signage, and premium home theater builds, this kind of switch matters because it simplifies the signal path without forcing compromises at the display. HDMI 2.1 support gives integrators room to plan for higher-resolution sources, while the 2x1 layout keeps source selection straightforward. Audio extraction helps when the display is not the final audio endpoint, making it easier to feed a sound system, processor, or amplifier directly. Choose this model when the installation calls for clean routing, protected content support, and a more disciplined AV rack. It is a practical fit for environments where signal integrity, compatibility, and fewer downstream adapters are worth paying for.
