The Lantronix E228G004S is an Asia Pacific market router from the E220 Series, built for mission-critical M2M and enterprise applications. Its LTE Cat-4 radio covers bands B1, B3, B5, B7, B8 and B28, with 3G fallback on bands 1, 5 and 8 and 2G fallback on bands 3 and 8. These bands suit Asia Pacific deployments, and the unit is not intended for US carrier networks. Lantronix currently lists the E220 Series under Last Time Buy, which matters when planning long-term rollouts. Cellular can serve as the primary link or as automatic failover behind a wired connection. Lantronix quotes failover speeds of up to 150 Mbps on LTE Cat-4.
