The Lantronix G526GP12S is the Industrial model of the G520 Series of IoT cellular gateways. It is the regional variant for EMEA, Taiwan and Australia, with 4G LTE Cat-4 on bands B1, B3, B7, B8, B20 and B28 and 3G/2G fallback on B1, B3 and B8. It is not intended for North American networks. Lantronix offers a separate North America G526 SKU for that market. The G526 is built for connecting industrial equipment. It has two 10/100 Ethernet ports: one LAN, and one WAN that can be reconfigured as a second LAN. It also has a fully implemented RS-232 port on a 9-pin sub-D header, RS-485 via a 5-pin COMBICON header, a USB host port, two user-configurable I/Os and an ignition input on the power header. The I/Os can each work as an analogue input, a 4-20 mA current-loop input or a digital output. A built-in protocol suite covers Modbus master, DNP3 Outstation, IEC 104 slave, IEC 101 master, EtherCAT and DLMS client. Lantronix also lists CAN bus among the G526 interfaces. For resilience, the gateway provides dual SIM with single standby. Ethernet, cellular and Wi-Fi can be configured for failover or load balancing, and configurable connectivity and application watchdogs are included. A Last Gasp function gives roughly 100 seconds of backup power to report an outage. Security features include a zone-based firewall, VLAN, DMZ, HTTPS management, SIM PIN and VPN options including IPsec (up to 4 channels), OpenVPN, WireGuard, L2TP, GRE and PPTP client. The G526GP12S accepts a 10.8-60 V DC input, which suits both vehicle and cabinet power. It operates from -30 °C to +70 °C at up to 95% RH. Fleets can be managed through the Lantronix Percepxion platform or third-party tools via TR-069, and custom applications can be built with the G520 SDK in Python or C/C++.
