Add a dependable layer of surge protection where it matters most: at the desk, under the workstation, or in a shared office power run. Kensington SMARTSOCKETS BASIC SURGE STRIP is built to keep essential peripherals connected while helping reduce exposure to electrical spikes that can shorten equipment life or interrupt work. With 6 outlets, this strip is sized for the devices that typically cluster around a workstation — monitor, PC, dock, phone charger, and accessories — without adding unnecessary complexity. It is a practical choice when you need more than a plain outlet multiplier, but do not need advanced power management features. For IT buyers, the appeal is in the balance of cost and protection. It supports standard office deployment patterns, keeps cable runs simple, and gives procurement a sensible option for outfitting desks, conference rooms, and support areas where uptime and device protection still matter. When the goal is to protect connected equipment without overbuying, this model fits the brief.
