Juniper Networks QSFP28 100G AOC 7 m

When a 5 m cable is too short and copper would add unnecessary bulk, this Juniper QSFP28 100G active optical cable fills the gap with a cleaner physical layer. The 7 m reach supports 100 GbE interconnects between switches, servers, and network appliances where equipment placement is slightly farther apart but still within a short-reach design window. Active optical construction helps keep the cable lighter and easier to route through crowded trays, vertical managers, and rear service channels. That matters in production racks where airflow, access, and cable discipline directly affect uptime and maintenance speed. By reducing the stiffness and mass associated with copper at this bandwidth, the cable helps preserve a more orderly layout without compromising the speed class the fabric requires. This model is a strong fit for teams standardizing on Juniper infrastructure and looking for a purpose-built 100 GbE interconnect with a little more reach. It is the kind of component that earns its place in high-density environments: simple to deploy, easier to manage, and sized for real rack layouts rather than idealized diagrams.
