Move Gigabit Ethernet across fiber and power remote devices from the same industrial endpoint. The Intellinet 508988 combines media conversion with PoE+ injection, reducing the need for separate power hardware at the edge. That matters in cabinets, plant floors, and outdoor-adjacent installations where space is tight and uptime matters. This model is designed for deployments that need a clean handoff between copper and fiber while also feeding compatible powered devices. By consolidating conversion and power delivery, it helps simplify wiring, reduce points of failure, and keep installation time under control. For teams building surveillance, access control, or distributed network infrastructure, that combination is often the difference between a workable edge design and a cluttered one. Use it where fiber uplinks meet PoE-powered endpoints and where industrial conditions call for hardware built to stay in service. It is a practical fit for integrators and infrastructure teams that want fewer boxes, fewer cables, and a more disciplined edge layout without compromising network reach.
