ICY DOCK MB991U3-1SB 2.5 Metal USB 3.0 Enclosure

Protect a 2.5-inch SATA drive in a metal enclosure designed for dependable external storage and daily handling. The ICY DOCK TOUGHARMOR MB991U3-1SB pairs a compact external form factor with USB 3.0 connectivity, giving IT teams a practical way to repurpose drives for backup, transport, and workstation expansion. Its metal construction helps the enclosure feel more substantial than plastic alternatives, which matters when drives move between desks, labs, and service carts. The 2.5-inch format keeps the footprint small enough for portable workflows while still supporting the drive class most often used for system imaging, data transfer, and secondary storage. For organizations that value predictable hardware over disposable accessories, this enclosure offers a cleaner fit. It is straightforward to deploy, easy to standardize, and backed by a 3-year limited warranty. That combination makes it a sensible choice when the goal is to protect a drive, preserve access, and avoid replacing low-cost enclosures that fail under regular use.
