ICY DOCK MB522SP-B 5.25" Dual 2.5" Hot-Swap Rack

Expand storage capacity without redesigning the chassis. The ICY DOCK FLEXIDOCK MB522SP-B converts a standard 5.25-inch optical bay into a dual 2.5-inch hot-swap docking solution, giving infrastructure teams a practical way to add accessible SSD or HDD storage where front-panel real estate is limited. Trayless drive access reduces handling steps during maintenance, while the dual-bay layout helps consolidate storage into a compact footprint. This model is a strong fit for systems that need frequent drive changes, rapid cloning workflows, or removable media-style access to 2.5-inch drives. By placing two drives in one bay, it preserves expansion options for other components and keeps the chassis cleaner than external enclosures or improvised adapters. For environments where uptime, serviceability, and physical density matter, the MB522SP-B offers a straightforward path to more flexible storage deployment. Choose it when you want a purpose-built mobile rack rather than a generic bay adapter. The result is faster maintenance, better drive access, and a more professional storage layout inside the system.
