Scale backup infrastructure on your terms with the HPE MSL3040 Scalable Expansion Module. Designed for environments that need more tape capacity without a disruptive platform change, it gives IT teams a practical path to extend retention, preserve archive workflows, and keep recovery options aligned with growth. For organizations managing larger backup sets, compliance retention, or long-term offline storage, modular expansion matters. It lets you add capacity within the MSL 3040 family instead of moving to a new architecture, which helps protect prior investment in media, procedures, and operational familiarity. That makes planning easier for teams balancing budget control with storage resilience. This module is a strong fit for backup environments where tape remains part of the recovery strategy: air-gapped copies, regulated retention, and cost-efficient archival storage. It supports a more measured expansion model than buying a larger system upfront, while keeping the library footprint aligned with enterprise storage planning. If your backup roadmap needs room to grow, the MSL3040 Scalable Expansion Module provides the structure to expand with confidence and keep tape storage ready for the next retention cycle.
