When a device needs PoE and the switch does not provide it, a dedicated injector keeps the deployment simple. The HPE Networking Instant On 802.3af PoE Injector delivers power over Ethernet to a single endpoint, giving you a direct path to support PoE hardware without replacing the existing network switch.
This model is aimed at lower-power 802.3af devices, making it a practical choice for access points, cameras, and similar endpoints that do not require higher-wattage 802.3at delivery. By inserting power inline, it preserves your current switching infrastructure while adding only the power function you need.
For IT teams, that means less disruption and tighter control over spend. Instead of overprovisioning a PoE switch for one device, you can power the endpoint directly and keep the rest of the network unchanged. It is a focused solution for small offices, branch locations, and targeted upgrades where simplicity and cost discipline matter.
