Confirm that the opening requires 600 lb holding force, that 12 VDC or 24 VDC lock power is available, and that the access-control system can use magnetic bond status feedback. Also verify the selected door and frame hardware supports the intended electromagnetic lock installation.
The magnetic bond sensor reports whether the lock magnet has achieved bond with its armature. This gives a compatible access-control or monitoring system lock-engagement information, rather than relying only on the commanded power state supplied to the magnetic lock.
HES M32B operates on 12 VDC or 24 VDC. Match the lock power supply and associated access-control equipment to the voltage used at the opening, and account for the magnetic lock as part of the total power-load calculation.
A 600 lb magnetic lock is used on electrically controlled doors where the required retention force and opening hardware suit that rating. M32B also fits monitored door-control applications that need a magnetic bond signal to report lock engagement to a compatible system.
