Sophos SG 650 H651-BG 2U Rack-Mount Firewall Appliance

Keep critical traffic moving while enforcing layered security policy with the Sophos SG 650. This 2U, rack-mountable appliance is built for enterprise perimeter deployments that need more than basic packet filtering. With 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, 8 RJ-45 ports, and 4 total expansion slots, it is designed to handle demanding network environments where throughput and control must stay aligned. The platform supports a broad set of firewall protections, including proxy blocking, email content filtering, web application control, intrusion prevention, application firewall, URL filtering, application control, anti-spam, antivirus, and denial of service protection. That breadth matters when one appliance must enforce policy across users, applications, and inbound traffic without adding operational complexity. Manageability is built in, making it easier to administer multiple appliances and maintain consistent security posture across sites. The rail-mountable, rack-mountable form factor fits standard infrastructure deployments, while the appliance architecture is suited to organizations that want centralized control, predictable placement, and security features that scale with the network. For teams comparing against lower-tier firewalls, this model stands out by combining enterprise connectivity, expansion capacity, and a mature security feature set in a single chassis.
