JBL VRX918SP Powered 18 in Flying Subwoofer

Anchor larger sound systems with the JBL VRX918SP powered 18-inch flying subwoofer. This model is built for professional reinforcement applications where low-end extension must stay tight, controlled, and consistent across the coverage area. The powered design pairs a 2268H Differential Drive low-frequency section with a Crown DPC-2 amplifier module and system DSP, giving integrators a more complete subwoofer solution in one enclosure. For production teams and venue operators, the value is in the combination of output, processing, and rigging readiness. Integral rigging hardware supports deployment with compatible VRX components, while the top-mounted M20 threaded pole socket adds flexibility for system configuration. The Black DuraFlex finish is suited to repeated transport and installation cycles, making it a practical choice for rental inventories, touring rigs, and fixed installations that need dependable bass reinforcement. Compared with passive alternatives, this powered model reduces external amplification and processing requirements, which can simplify system design and speed deployment. It is a strong fit when the goal is not just more bass, but bass that integrates cleanly with the rest of the system and holds up under professional use.
