The RMP1915 is the internal aluminum chassis panel for the 15 in deep RMC rack mount instrument enclosure. It is meant for builders using the 17.00 in wide by 15.00 in deep body who want a separate plate to carry boards and components.
At 16.72 in wide by 13.00 in deep by 0.50 in high (425 x 330 x 13 mm), it is the deepest panel in the RMP range. The drawing shows 1.63 mm (0.06 in) aluminum with 12.70 mm (0.50 in) flanges, supplied in a natural aluminum finish.
The RMP1915 drawing names one compatible enclosure, the RMCS191015. The panel mounts through the enclosure side panels with #6-32 x 1/2 in pan head screws. The panel and 4 screws are included, and the recommended screw torque is 8.8-9.7 lbf-in (100-110 cN-m). Spare black inner panel screws come in the SC536BK-50 pack of 50.
The RMP1915 is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships in a box with a shipping weight of 1.5 lbs (0.68 kg). It can be factory modified by milling, drilling or printing, and solid models are available in .stp or .x_t for mechanical layout.
