The RL6175-F is a 105 x 65 mm flanged ABS plastic project enclosure from the RL Series of shallow-lid boxes, designed to house P.C. boards for hand-held use or wall mount. It suits OEM engineers, electronics builders and integrators who need a wall-mountable light gray housing for a small circuit board assembly. It shares the 105 mm x 65 mm footprint of RL6165 but stands 40 mm tall instead of 30 mm, for 34.70 mm of inside height versus 24.70 mm on RL6165.

The enclosure is molded in light grey general purpose ABS plastic with a light texture and uses two-part construction. Both the box and the shallow lid carry a smooth recessed area for a membrane, label or silkscreen, and P.C. board standoffs are molded into both halves, with bosses that accept M2.6 self-tapping screws.

Nominal size is 4.13 in x 2.56 in x 1.58 in (105 mm x 65 mm x 40 mm), with inside dimensions of 99.72 mm [3.93 in] long, 59.72 mm [2.35 in] wide and 34.70 mm [1.37 in] high. It accepts a maximum P.C. board of 98.91 mm x 58.91 mm per the series ordering table (99.43 mm x 59.43 mm on the part page). Wall mounting flanges extend the overall length to 128.92 mm [5.08 in]. Shipping weight is 0.18 lbs (0.08 kg).

Each purchased assembly includes the box, lid, 4 PCB screws and 4 lid screws, and the recommended screw torque is (43-50) Ozf.in / (30-35) cN.m. The RL6175-F is designed to meet IP54, uses UL94 HB rated ABS, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Some chemicals can damage or weaken the plastic, including acetone, ketones, thread-locking compounds, cutting or tapping fluid and strong solvents, so use only plastic-safe cleaners. The enclosure can also be factory modified (milling, drilling, printing), and solid models are available in .stp or .x_t. The black counterpart of this flanged size is RL6175-FBK.
