The 1556BGY is a light gray, 3.15 in x 3.15 in x 1.77 in (80 mm x 80 mm x 45 mm) enclosure for small electronics, IoT equipment and printed circuit boards. It is the shorter of the two 80 x 80 mm heights in the 1556 series and suits indoor desktop or wall installations.
Flame retardant ABS rated UL94 V-0 gives the housing its fire performance, while the light satin texture and rounded face give it a modern look. Lap joint construction protects against dust and splashing water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP54.
Inside it provides 74.40 mm x 74.18 mm of floor space and 40.00 mm [1.57 in] of height, taking PC boards up to 71 mm x 71 mm. The lid and base include multiple mounting locations for #6 self-tapping screws, and the 1556BPL aluminum inner panel is available as an accessory.
Supplied with the lid, four #6 x 1/2" Plastite screws (recommended torque 71-85 ozf-in, 50-60 cN-m) and four rubber feet. The matching 1556FOOTGY-4 light gray foot kit enables flange or flush keyhole wall mounting, and the PMB5057WKIT1 or PMB5057WKIT2 kits allow pole mounting. Shipping weight is 0.16 lbs (0.07 kg).
