The 1455K1201RD is a red anodized extruded aluminum enclosure with metal end panels in a 120 x 78 x 43 mm size. Built to house PC boards or for equipment interfacing, its red finish makes it easy to identify a specific module or product line on a bench or in the field.

The body is extruded aluminum with a minimum thickness of 0.06 in (1.5 mm), finished in red anodized aluminum. It measures 4.72 in x 3.07 in x 1.69 in (120 mm x 78 mm x 43 mm), with the drawing showing a 120.00 ±0.50 mm length, 78.00 mm extrusion width and 43.02 mm height. Printed circuit boards up to 119 mm long and 74 mm wide mount horizontally by sliding into internal slots extruded into the body, and the enclosure includes a removable sliding plate.

Each enclosure includes two flat aluminum end panels, color matched to the housing, and two open black plastic bezels, four adhesive rubber feet and #6 x 3/8 in thread rolling steel end panel screws with a #4 flat head phillips drive in a black finish. Tighten end panel screws to the recommended 5 lbf-in. Replacement feet are 1421T2CL (pack of 24) and replacement screws are 1455MS100BK (quantity 100).

Protection is rated IP54, and the part is RoHS and REACH compliant. Shipping weight is 0.43 lbs (0.20 kg) in shrink wrap packaging. Matching red aluminum end panels are sold in 10-packs as 1455KALRD-10, and the drawing lists 1455KF optional flange end panels. Factory modification such as milling, drilling and printing is available, with STEP or IGES solid models for design work.
