The 11451PSLA is the smallest box in the Eddystone die-cast range, measuring 53 mm x 38 mm x 30 mm (2.07 in x 1.5 in x 1.2 in) and shipping at just 0.12 lbs (0.05 kg). It is sized for a single small circuit, sensor interface or connector breakout where a metal housing is wanted but space is tight.

Box and lid are die-cast from aluminium alloy to BS1490, LM2M, supplied in a natural finish. The material is tough yet easy to machine, so cut-outs and holes can be added to suit the design. A lap joint between lid and box provides protection against dust and splashing water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP54.

The ordering table gives a length of 2.09 in (53 mm), a width of 1.50 in (38 mm), a total depth of 1.06 in (27 mm) and a 0.16 in (4 mm) lid. On the drawing the box measures 52.70 mm [2.07 in] long, 38.00 mm [1.50 in] wide and 30.50 mm [1.20 in] high.

The purchased assembly includes the lid, the box and 4 cover screws. The lid is retained by M3.5 x 12 countersunk screws with a POZIDRIV No. 2 head into countersunk lid holes, with a recommended torque of 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in]. Side walls have a low draft angle of 2° or less for easy PC board mounting. Replacement cover screws are available as SCR0230-100 (package of 100).

This is an Eddystone design; the Eddystone brand was, purchased by Hammond in 1998. The factory can modify 11451PSLA by milling, drilling or printing, and solid models are available in .stp or .x_t formats. It is RoHS and REACH compliant.
