Cradlepoint R980 5G Ruggedized Router with 6-Year NetCloud Mobile Essentials + Advanced Trade Up

The Ericsson Cradlepoint R980 is a ruggedized, secure 5G router built for vehicles, critical communications and hazardous or harsh environments. This package (Cradlepoint TU-MBA6-R980-5GD-A, Getac 590GBL001671) is a Cradlepoint Trade Up bundle. It combines the R980 hardware with 6 years of NetCloud Mobile Essentials + Advanced Plans and is specified for the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the European Union and the United Kingdom. The embedded 5G NR FR1 modem supports standalone and non-standalone networks from 600 MHz to 6 GHz, with peak rates up to 3.4 Gbps downlink and 550 Mbps uplink (NSA). It falls back to LTE Advanced Pro Category 19. The modem offers 4x4 MIMO, 3GPP Release 16 5G network slicing with up to four DNN/PDN instances, two 4FF SIM slots and MFF2 eSIM hardware for up to eight carrier profiles. It holds AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon network certifications, along with FirstNet Trusted, T-Mobile T-Priority, Verizon Frontline and CBRS Band 48 private-network support. Local connectivity includes dual-band, dual-concurrent 2x2 MU-MIMO Wi-Fi 6 (up to 1.2 Gbps on 5 GHz), two Gigabit RJ45 ports switchable between LAN and WAN, and a screw-lock USB 2.0 port. The router accepts 9–36 VDC with ISO 7637-2 transient protection and ignition sensing. For tracking and coverage mapping, active GNSS receives GPS, Galileo, GLONASS and BeiDou concurrently. The enclosure is rated IP64, operates from -30 °C to 70 °C and is tested to MIL-STD-810H shock and vibration. It also carries Class I Div 2, E-Mark, SAE J1455 and NFPA 130 certifications. Security and edge throughput include a 940 Mbps stateful firewall and IPS, 200 Mbps IPsec VPN, 20 concurrent tunnels and up to 64 VLANs. A dual-core ARMv8 processor runs Docker containers. NetCloud Manager provides device management and software updates for the full subscription term, and support is included for the same period. Cradlepoint hardware is covered by a limited lifetime warranty while an active NetCloud subscription is in place. Cellular and GNSS antennas and an AC power supply are not included.
