Monitor the open or closed condition of protected doors, windows, cabinets, gates, and equipment enclosures with a surface-mount magnetic reed contact. The contact mounts on the surface of the protected opening and operates through a magnetic actuator positioned on the moving or mating surface. This arrangement supports hardwired alarm circuits that need a discrete change of state when the protected opening moves. Two Form A reed sensing elements provide normally open magnetic-contact operation. A Form A reed switch remains open without the activating magnetic field and closes when the magnet is brought into its operating position.
