Match the installation to a recessed 3/8 in. contact, a closed-loop alarm circuit, and an extra-wide-gap magnetic arrangement. Also verify that the protected opening accepts the stubby body, mating magnet placement, and 12 in. lead length.
A closed-loop contact forms a normally closed alarm circuit while the magnet is within range. When the door, window, cabinet, or panel opens and the magnet moves away, the circuit changes state for detection by a compatible hardwired security input.
An extra-wide-gap configuration allows more separation between the contact and magnet than a standard-gap arrangement. It is useful where frame geometry, door movement, magnet alignment, or normal mechanical tolerances make a tighter sensing gap difficult to maintain.
Install it in compatible doors, windows, cabinets, access panels, or equipment enclosures that can accept a recessed 3/8 in. contact body and opposing magnet. The application also needs a hardwired closed-loop input or alarm zone for monitoring.
