Match the required mounting method, contact size, circuit type, connection style, and magnetic alignment tolerance. This part uses a recessed 3/8 in format, a closed-loop circuit, terminal connections, and a wide-gap configuration for hardwired opening monitoring.
Closed-loop operation keeps the monitored circuit continuous while the contact and magnet are in their normal aligned position. Moving the magnet away changes the circuit condition, allowing a connected compatible alarm or monitoring input to recognize an opening event.
A wide-gap configuration allows more separation tolerance between the recessed contact and its magnet than a standard-gap arrangement. It is useful where door, window, or cabinet construction makes close and consistent magnetic alignment more difficult to maintain.
Field wiring connects at the contact terminals and routes to a compatible alarm, access-control, or monitoring input. The connected system determines conductor selection, end-of-line supervision, zone programming, and how a circuit-state change is reported.
