Gefen GTV-HDMI-2-HDMIAUD HDMI Audio Converter

Route HDMI video to the display and extract audio for the rest of the room with the Gefen GTV-HDMI-2-HDMIAUD. This converter is built for installations where the screen needs the full HDMI signal, but the audio must also feed amplifiers, DSPs, or distributed sound systems. It accepts one HDMI input and provides one HDMI output, while also delivering up to 8 channels of LPCM audio through RCA outputs and bitstream audio through an optical digital connector. For integrators, that split matters. It removes the need to compromise between display connectivity and room audio design, especially in conference rooms, training spaces, and presentation environments where source devices are locked down and signal paths must stay predictable. The unit supports HDMI with HDCP and offers switchable audio modes, including auto and manual selection for two-channel audio, multi-channel bitstream, and 7.1 LPCM. With a 225 MHz maximum frequency, a 5 V DC input, and a 2-year limited warranty, this is the kind of accessory that earns its place in a professional rack or behind a display. It is a practical choice when the installation needs clean signal separation, not a consumer-grade workaround.
