GEFEN GF-EXT-HD-HBT HDMI 2.1 8K HDBaseT Extender

Extend an HDMI source-to-display connection where a direct HDMI cable run is impractical. GEFEN GF-EXT-HD-HBT carries HDMI video, audio, and control over HDBaseT using a single CAT cable, with a stated extension distance of up to 70 m. Its HDMI 2.1 support and 8K capability address high-resolution AV paths while retaining stated support for 4K video. Use the extender in residential AV rooms, commercial presentation spaces, and other installations where equipment racks, source devices, and displays occupy separate locations. HDBaseT transport places the longer segment of the connection on structured CAT cabling rather than on an extended HDMI cable. The single-cable path supports video, audio, and control traffic for installations that require these signals to cross the same cable run. This model is differentiated by its combination of HDMI 2.1 support, 8K video capability, HDBaseT transport, and a maximum stated distance of 70 m. It suits AV links that need more reach than a local HDMI patch connection while maintaining a defined transport method between endpoints. Match the required video format, cable path, control requirement, and 70 m maximum distance to the intended installation before selecting the extender.
