This Linux-based Gigabit IP phone is designed for small business environments that need dependable call handling without unnecessary complexity. Two lines support straightforward call management, while 8 BLF keys help users monitor presence and speed up transfers, pickups, and internal routing. A 132 x 48 backlit LCD improves visibility in varied lighting conditions, and dual HD audio helps preserve clarity on both handset and speakerphone calls. Three-way conferencing supports quick collaboration without adding a conference bridge. Integrated PoE reduces cable clutter and simplifies installation where power outlets are limited. With 3 XML programmable keys, the phone can be adapted to common workflows and frequently used functions. For organizations that value stable performance and a clean deployment footprint, the GXP1628 delivers the right mix of call features, visibility, and network efficiency. It is a practical choice for teams that need more control than a basic desk phone, but do not want to overbuy for features they will never use.
