Match the required cable length, OM4 50/125 µm multimode fiber type, 8-fiber count, female MPO connectors, APC connector geometry, and Type B polarity to the ports, adapters, and polarity method already used in the fiber channel.
The cable has an MPO female connector at each end, creating an MPO female-to-female connection. Both connector ends use APC geometry, so the mating equipment or adapter must provide compatible MPO interfaces and endface requirements.
Type B polarity reverses fiber positions from one end of the MPO cable to the other. It must be matched with the polarity scheme used by the connected cassettes, adapters, and transceivers so transmit and receive paths map correctly.
OM4 multimode MPO cabling is commonly used for short-reach optical links inside data centers, equipment rooms, and telecommunications rooms. Its MPO format supports structured fiber paths between active equipment, patching hardware, and fiber distribution infrastructure.
