Cisco NCS 5500 NC55-PS-BLNK= Power Supply Blank Filler

Keep unused power supply bays closed so the chassis continues to cool and operate as intended. The Cisco NCS 5500 power supply blank filler is designed to occupy an open PSU slot, helping maintain airflow patterns and reducing the chance of recirculation inside the system. In dense carrier and enterprise network environments, blanking panels are not cosmetic accessories. They are part of the thermal design. Leaving a bay open can disrupt cooling efficiency and expose internal components to unnecessary airflow turbulence. This filler helps preserve the chassis configuration when a redundant supply is removed, deferred, or not yet installed. For teams managing Cisco NCS 5500 platforms, this is a low-cost, high-value maintenance item that supports operational discipline. It keeps the system physically complete, helps maintain thermal consistency, and avoids the appearance of an unfinished or temporarily serviced chassis. When uptime and serviceability matter, even a blank filler earns its place.
