Deploy the Cisco ASR 9903 where a chassis-based routing platform must fit within a compact 3RU rack allocation. Its compact chassis format supports ASR 9900-series routing deployments in locations where rack height is limited but a purpose-built provider-routing platform is required. The 3RU profile gives network teams a clear physical planning point for racks, cabinets, and edge locations. This chassis fits service-provider and carrier network environments that need to place routing infrastructure at constrained points in the network. It can serve as the chassis foundation for an ASR 9900 deployment while retaining the compact physical profile identified for the ASR 9903 platform. Buyers can use the chassis height and platform designation to validate fit with existing rack-space and network-architecture requirements before selecting the surrounding system configuration. SD-C4PK-ASR9903K identifies the Flexible Consumption version of the compact ASR 9903 chassis. The key distinction is the combination of the ASR 9903 platform designation, compact chassis construction, and 3RU height rather than a larger chassis footprint. This makes it a focused choice when physical density is a primary constraint in provider-network routing infrastructure.
