Cisco A99-8X100GE-CM 8-Port 100GE Line Card

Increase core network capacity with the Cisco ASR 9900 8-port 100GE 7-fabric consumption model line card. Designed for high-density routing environments, this module delivers eight 100 Gigabit Ethernet ports for aggregation, backbone uplinks, and large-scale traffic handling. It is a strong fit for organizations that need to add bandwidth without changing the underlying platform strategy. The 7-fabric consumption model is built for ASR 9900 deployments where fabric planning and port economics matter. That makes it especially relevant for service provider and enterprise core networks that run sustained high-throughput workloads and need predictable expansion paths. Instead of overbuilding with extra chassis capacity, teams can add a line card that aligns with the platform’s architecture and operational model. Choose this line card when port density, speed, and platform consistency are more important than generic flexibility. It helps preserve the investment already made in Cisco routing infrastructure while extending the life and capability of the core.
