Chief AVA1102 2RU FP FSS Accessory

Keep storage responsive under pressure with a RAID controller designed for enterprise servers and dense data environments. Chief AVA1102 provides 6 Gb/s SAS connectivity over PCI Express 3.0 x8, giving storage arrays the bandwidth needed for transactional systems, virtualization hosts, and high-throughput application stacks. The 1 GB battery-backed cache helps preserve write data during unexpected power events, while support for RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60 gives architects flexibility to balance performance, capacity, and fault tolerance. That combination matters when the storage layer has to do more than hold data — it has to keep applications moving and recovery paths intact. Its low-profile plug-in card form factor fits systems where expansion space is limited, and the internal SFF-8087 connection supports compact server integration. For teams standardizing on proven SAS infrastructure, this controller offers the kind of measured capability that justifies deployment in production environments rather than test benches.
