Black Box HDMI EDID Ghost VG-HDMI

Keep video output aligned with the display, even when the source device cannot read EDID directly. The Black Box HDMI EDID Ghost helps prevent defaulting to a lower resolution when a KVM switch, extender, or other inline device interrupts display communication. By presenting stable EDID information to the source, it supports consistent image quality and reduces the need for manual video setting changes at the workstation. This is a practical fix for environments where display negotiation matters: control rooms, conference spaces, digital signage endpoints, and support desks. Instead of troubleshooting mismatched resolutions after every reboot or source swap, the EDID ghost helps the system remember the display profile it should use. That means fewer calls, fewer adjustments, and a cleaner user experience. For teams managing mixed hardware or remote displays, this small accessory can prevent outsized frustration. It is especially useful when the attached display is capable of higher resolution than the source is currently outputting. Install it inline and let the source see a consistent display signature every time.
