Black Box SM961A-PS Gang Switch 4U External Power Supply

Maintain stable power delivery for a Gang Switch 4U chassis with this external AC power supply from Black Box. It takes mains power and converts it to regulated 12 VDC at 5 A, providing the electrical foundation needed for the chassis and its switching architecture. For environments where uptime matters, the ability to use two external power supplies for redundancy adds an important layer of protection. If one supply fails, the second can continue supporting the chassis, helping reduce the risk of service interruption. That makes this component a practical choice for network and lab deployments where power continuity is part of the design. The supply connects through the controller card, keeping the power path organized while preserving chassis slot capacity for switch cards. In systems built around dense switching and controlled expansion, that matters. It helps preserve the intended chassis layout and supports a cleaner installation than improvised power arrangements. For teams standardizing on a known chassis power component, this external supply offers a focused, purpose-built option for dependable operation.
