Axiom Memory JL855A 25GBASE-LR SFP28 Transceiver

Move 25 GbE traffic beyond the short distances supported by multimode optics. This Axiom Memory SFP28 transceiver implements 25GBASE-LR signaling for single-mode fiber, using 1310 nm optical transmission and duplex LC connectivity. Its LR optical interface supports link distances up to 10 km, making it suitable for building-to-building runs, campus backbone segments, and data center links between separate rows or halls. The compact SFP28 format installs into a compatible 25 GbE optical port without requiring a fixed-interface media converter. It provides the optical layer for a 25 GbE connection while the connected network equipment handles switching, routing, and link management. Duplex LC connections use separate fiber paths for transmit and receive, so the installed fiber plant must provide a matched single-mode pair. JL855A-AX is intended for HP-compatible networking environments that require the JL855A optical designation. Compared with short-reach 25 GbE optics, the LR interface is selected where single-mode fiber infrastructure and longer cable paths are already present. Confirm that each endpoint has a compatible SFP28 port and that both ends of the link use matching 25GBASE-LR optical parameters before installation.
