Axiom Memory MA-SFP-10GB-BXD-AX 10GBASE-BX-D SFP+ Transceiver

Carry 10 Gigabit Ethernet across up to 10 km of single-mode fiber without consuming a duplex fiber pair. Axiom Memory MA-SFP-10GB-BXD-AX is a 10GBASE-BX-D SFP+ transceiver that sends at 1,330 nm and receives at 1,270 nm through an LC optical connection. Its bidirectional optical design places transmit and receive traffic on separate wavelengths over one fiber strand. Install the module in a compatible SFP+ interface on Meraki-compatible equipment to add a long-reach 10 GbE fiber connection. The SFP+ form factor suits switches, routers, firewalls, and other network platforms fitted with an appropriate 10 Gigabit SFP+ port. Single-mode fiber support makes it appropriate for building-to-building runs, remote wiring closets, and other campus links that exceed typical copper Ethernet distances. BX-D identifies the wavelength direction at this end of a bidirectional connection. The far-end optic must provide the complementary wavelength direction so each side can receive the other side's transmitted light. This distinction matters when replacing an existing bidirectional module or planning a new single-fiber path: match the optical direction at each end, use LC-terminated single-mode fiber, and retain the 10 km link budget requirement.
