Axiom CVR-QSFP-SFP10G-AX Cisco Compatible 40G to 10G Adapter

Keep migration plans moving without forcing a full-speed refresh across the network. The Axiom CVR-QSFP-SFP10G-AX is a Cisco-compatible adapter module designed to bridge QSFP+ and SFP+ optics, making it easier to connect 40G infrastructure to 10G endpoints where mixed-speed operation is still part of the design. That matters in real networks. Core and aggregation layers often move faster than access, and not every link needs to change at the same time. This adapter gives infrastructure teams a practical way to preserve compatibility while reducing the friction of staged upgrades, lab validation, or temporary interconnect requirements. For procurement, the appeal is clear: avoid overcommitting to a broader optics refresh when a targeted adapter solves the immediate problem. For operations, it keeps the network flexible during transitions and helps maintain continuity across generations of hardware. When the goal is to connect 40G and 10G optics cleanly, this module earns its place by solving a specific compatibility gap.
