ATEN VK224 4-Port Serial Expansion Box for VK2100

Extend a VK2100 control system with four additional serial ports for devices that still require direct RS-232 communication. The VK224 is designed for AV teams that need dependable control of displays, projectors, matrix switchers, and other room hardware from a centralized platform. By adding serial capacity at the edge of the control system, it helps preserve clean rack design and reduces the need for separate controllers. That matters in rooms where uptime, serviceability, and predictable device behavior are more important than adding more layers of software. The VK224 fits naturally into ATEN’s VK control ecosystem, giving integrators a straightforward way to scale control points while keeping the system architecture consistent. For conference rooms, classrooms, command spaces, and divisible environments, it provides the extra I/O needed to manage more endpoints from the same control backbone. When a project calls for reliable serial control and a compact expansion path, the VK224 adds capacity without complicating deployment.
