AddOn Networks JL661A 40GBASE-LR4 QSFP+ Transceiver

Move 40 Gbps Ethernet between distant network endpoints over single-mode fiber with LR4 optical signaling. This QSFP+ transceiver uses four optical wavelength lanes to transport aggregated 40 Gigabit Ethernet traffic across a two-fiber SMF path. It is suited to high-bandwidth interconnects between switches, aggregation layers, data center rows, and remote equipment rooms where copper cabling is not practical. The JL661A-AO is built as a compatible replacement for equipment specified for the HP JL661A optic. Its QSFP+ format fits 40 GbE host interfaces that accept this transceiver type, while 40GBASE-LR4 operation provides the long-reach single-mode alternative to short-reach multimode 40 GbE optics. The module operates at 1,270 nm, 1,290 nm, 1,310 nm, and 1,330 nm wavelengths and uses duplex LC optical connectivity. Use this module where the link requires a 40GBASE-LR4 QSFP+ connection rather than a direct-attach cable or a multimode optical link. The 10 km maximum optical reach supports building-to-building paths, campus distribution links, and separated data center spaces within the supported fiber-loss budget. TAA compliance is included for environments that require that product designation.
